Road preparation and maintenance
WINTER SNOW PLOW ZPL
ZPL snow plow is a blade plow hinged on a three-point hitch in tractors. It has been designed for maintenance of forest roads of a width up to 2,3 m during winter season.
Thanks to adjustable blades, appropriately formed moldboards and hydraulic cylinders the device efficiently levels any unevenness and ruts formed in snow covering roads and hydraulic control system allows for a continuous adjustment of angles of moldboards and the direction of plowing together with adjustment of work depth.
The ZPL snow plow is a frame welded construction. To keep a proper working depth the moldboards have been equipped with support wheels whose position can be adjusted with cranks.
Working with the plough is based on plowing fresh snow on a road shoulder. Appropriate adjustment of the moldboards using hydraulic cylinders allows for plowing snow to the left or right side and in a case of setting a minimum length of both cylinders it is possible to plow to both sides.
ZPL plow has been designed to be hinged on a three-point hitch in a tractor. It is to be mounted on a rear three-point hitch – then working ride is done as in the reverse gear (such a tractor should be equipped with a double steering system allowing for a work on reverse gears) or a front three-point hitch – then the hydraulic system output should be located in the front of a tractor.
