The seed separator has been designed mainly for cleaning and grading of forest tree light and heavy seeds. It separates seeds in two groups depending on their weight.
The device consists of:
- Main container
- Vibrating tray
- Fan
- Container for separated seeds
The separator is a pneumatic vacuum device. In comparison to mechanical separators it is characterized by following advantages:
- Enables simultaneous cleaning and grading of seeds,
- Does not damage seeds,
- Does not influence the physical and biological features of seeds during separation,
- Enables continuous adjustment of separation parameters,
- Is efficient together with small dimensions and low energy consumption,
- Generates low noise level.
